This little angel came to me at 6 weeks old. I was nervous because most babies this age tend to want to look around and be nosy. We got her to sleep and she just let me keep posing her. Have I mentioned how much I love photographing newborns?!

I just love newborns. I love their smell, their feistiness, their ever need to eat. I remember when I had my first baby. I was so scared and didn’t know really what I was doing (as all new parents feel, I’m sure). Now, after having 2 babies of my own and handling newborns regularly, I feel like I really do know what I’m doing. Finally. I always love to have first-time parents in the studio. I get to relive that feeling of the baby ‘newness’ all over again.

Miss H returned for her 1 Year session. You may remember her from her newborn and 6 month sessions. She’s getting so big. She was a bit nervous with me at first, but she opened up and let me snap a few great pics.

Mr. R | Newborn baby photography

This is my husband’s cousin’s new baby boy. We had a fun time with this little guy! He peed directly in mom’s face and we also had quite a mess on the blankets to clean up. It was fun! Thanks for hanging in there mom!

Mr K | 9 Month

Mr. K returned after my maternity leave for his 9 month session. I can’t believe how time has flown! It seems like yesterday I was taking his newborn and 3 month pictures! Doesn’t he have the bluest eyes?! I just love those big blue eyes.

Oklahoma City Workshop | Day One

I had the great opportunity to travel down to Oklahoma City at the beginning of the month to attend the Kelly Ryden and Tracy Raver workshop hosted by Beth Jansen. I loved every second of this learning how they shoot and getting to see them in action. I learned so much!!! I actually got to apply some of what I learned today with a new baby!

It’s very rare that I only post one image for a session… but, it’s almost out of necessity with this session. We tried twice to get my niece to cooperate for her one year portrait. She wasn’t having any part of it!
