Happy Birthday my sweet little guy.  As my favorite picture frame of you reads: “you fill the places in my heart that I never knew were empty.”  I love you my little Guido.

Unless anything changes (like the doctor ordering bedrest), I plan to schedule into October for normal shoots. This does not count weddings as I’m no longer booking weddings for 2009. Family portraits can be rescheduled in case of an emergency… wedding portraits cannot.

And since no blog post is good without a picture… Here are several from my ultrasound taken on Friday.

I had to schedule my own son on my calendar as a photo session appointment! He’s even color coded like the rest of my appointments; how horrible is that?!?! Well, it’s not horrible, it’s well overdue. I’m just so busy to do ‘random’ sessions, even with my own child.

I just thought I’d post this as a reminder – I’m filling up very fast! My weekends are booked now for at least the next month to month and a half. So – book soon if you’d like to schedule some family sessions, or in my case, well overdue portraits of your children!

Also – I’ve taken up to a new … I don’t know if I’d call it a hobby. More like an obsession at the moment. I’ve never really been a makeup kind of girl. In fact – I just recently started wearing base consistently every day. Well – I’ve always wanted to know how to do my eye makeup. I’ve never been good at it and if I tried any dark colors – I always ended up looking like I had two well developed black eyes. Well – I discovered a few makeup artists on youtube. Wow… I’ve also spent (I won’t tell you how much) on some new makeup palettes and MAC brushes. Who knew it was all in the brush!! So – I’ve spent all of my photography money on makeup. I feel like a teenager all over again with testing makeup looks. This new obsession also causes me to run late nearly every morning with not enough time to do my hair. I’m becoming high-maintenance and didn’t realize it!

Soon – it’s back to regularly scheduled programming with a few shoots I’ve had over the past few weeks. Sorry I’ve neglected you, dear blog, but, I needed to curl my eyelashes.

I’m an aunt again as of last Thursday. She was born at 7:29pm and weighed 6.94 lbs and I just love her to death!!!! I was on call at the hospital for most of the day Wednesday and all day Thursday with my camera in hand. I didn’t want to miss a moment. This is just a drop in the hat as to what I got – but thought I’d share.

These are things I use ALL the time… my indulgences… things that keep me sane in the chaotic thing I call ‘LIFE’.  They’re immaterial things that I could probably live without, but choose not to!

1.  My IPod Nano - I SERIOUSLY get more use out of this thing than a normal person should!  I listen to it in the car (thanks to my handy cord), at work, when I’m supposed to be working, when I’m trying to go to sleep, when I clean, when I eat, when I am Photoshopping…. It’s seriously my addiction.

2.  And what am I listening to on my IPod?  Usually Audiobooks thanks to  www.audible.com.  Right now I’m listening to the Twilight Series.  It’s to die for….  or maybe, to ‘become a vampire’ for???

For those of you that travel with small children… you know. You know how it is to have your 2 year old crying while those that are trying to stay dreamily asleep beat on the wall to indicate you’re being too loud. I totally understand what that person is thinking. I used to BE that person. That was before having a child of my own… and seeing that children will definitely NOT be quiet when they’re supposed to. So – to the person that was beating on the wall. You wait – your day will come!
