Yes – it’s been a full month since I’ve added a post to my blog. I know that’s pathetic! I had my 2nd child on October 30 and, needless to say, things have been a bit crazy around here. Not only have we been adjusting to having a new one in the house, but all of us have been battling illness since early October! My 3 week old is congested right now. It’s horrible!

Shortly before I had the baby – the Smith’s came to have their portraits taken for Christmas. You may remember them from their wedding pictures that were posted a while back. Aren’t they adorable in their matching red shirts?! I love it!

If you are my friend on Facebook or follower on Twitter (NMoorePhoto), then you know that I’m pregnant… 16 weeks pregnant. I’ve finally emerged from the hell best described as the first trimester. I’ve finally gotten over the nausea and exhaustion and now have just become uncomfortable… Already. I am starting to cut back on my long hours and have started limiting my sessions per week. I have also started booking into July and August. If you are wanting to take family pictures this summer or fall, please call or email me to schedule your appointment as soon as possible. I am currently planning on shooting until the end of October. I’m due early November and plan to take some time off (at least 6 weeks) after that to take care of the little one. November, you say? Yes, that is usually my busiest time because of the holidays! I suggest scheduling early if you’d like to take holiday portraits…. especially those for Christmas cards!!!

Unless anything changes (like the doctor ordering bedrest), I plan to schedule into October for normal shoots. This does not count weddings as I’m no longer booking weddings for 2009. Family portraits can be rescheduled in case of an emergency… wedding portraits cannot.

And since no blog post is good without a picture… Here are several from my ultrasound taken on Friday.

Things are heating up! (or rather – cooling down)

Things are about to get super crazy for me! This marks the beginning of the holiday season… and that means CHRISTMAS CARDS! In case you haven’t found them, I do have holiday card examples on my website. They can be found here: http://www.nmoorephoto.com/08CardExamples/

This Sunday, I will be heading off to Tennessee to attend the NoBS Inferno Photography conference. I won’t be getting back into town until late Thursday evening. I’m sure I’m going to come back loaded with new ideas… and I’ll need them! I’m fully booked for the month of November!
