Phew. I’m back. We recently went skiing with my husband’s two sisters and their husbands. That was quite an adventure! I quickly learned that if you’ve never been before, DO NOT let your friends talk you into trying it just to see if you NEED lessons. Get the lessons. Trust me! It’ll save you from being so terrified on the side of the mountain that you take off your skis and walk down. Yeah – that was me. I’m sure I was the one everyone was pointing at down on the bottom of the slopes. But – our trip didn’t come without at least ONE ride to the emergency room. My brother-in-law crashed and separated his shoulder. I haven’t heard if he’ll need surgery or not. It was a huge eye opener as to how fast you can get hurt up there on the mountain when you’re in the ER next to a woman that’s broken her leg, screaming bloody murder at the doctor that’s trying to remove her clothes. Eeshh… that still makes my blood run cold!

Anyway – back to the pictures and why you’re here!

Meet Miss K! The weather was still not cooperative for outdoor portraits so we just had studio shots. I thought they were beautiful!

I’m a bit behind on blogging again. I have had weddings the past 2 weekends and I’m just now trying to get caught up on other things.

Nate came to visit me for his Senior pictures. Unfortunately, he did so shortly after the nausea and extreme exhaustion set in from my pregnancy. I remember feeling awful that day!

However, he was a champ. I think he was just ready to have them done!

Alicia’s session has to be one of my most disasterous… I’ve never had a disasterous session (where things just go wrong)… but this was filled with them…

She picked a bridge that’s not too far away from my house… and I live in the sticks. So, I wasn’t too worried about it. Well, we show up and as we’re shooting in the field nearby – two strange guys in a minivan drive by staring us down. I told her to sit still while I ran to grab my can of mace. They looked like they could turn around at any moment and come back for us! So, there I am… in the middle of nowhere, shooting a senior session with a can of mace stuck in my pants. I’ve been in strange places… especially in downtown Tulsa and I felt more uncomfortable in a deserted field!

Then, since I didn’t have anyone to tag along to hold the reflector, I was trying my best to hold it myself while shooting on the bridge. Lo and behold a nice Oklahoma gust of wind came up and blew my reflector off the bridge. I had to crawl under the stinky bridge (where I just knew I’d stumble across a dead body) to retrieve my reflector! Ewww…

Needless to say – I immediately went home to shower.

Meet Travis

I had the pleasure of having a mini-senior session with Travis. He was our ring bearer at our wedding. Where does the time go!??

I got the first laugh after telling him not to look so constipated. It worked!

Amy – Senior Session (Sneak Peek)

Amy came last weekend and had her Senior portraits taken. It was a blast! We had intentions of going to our leased pasture – but decided to go in this neighbors pasture instead. The light was perfect!
