Are you getting used to seeing Amber and James on the blog yet? I shot their wedding a year ago, as well as their family pictures for Christmas. They always color coordinate so beautifully! I really should hire her to coordinate ALL of my clients attire.

Revamping Prices Effective June 1, 2010 – Plus Some Announcements

Since I haven’t done anything with my pricing since January 2009, I am going to be revamping my prices and it will go into effect June 1, 2010. My wedding prices will remain the same until next year.

For those of you that would like to get in before my pricing changes, contact me as soon as possible! My schedule is really booked between now and June, but I can work you in through the week if your time allows.

I also wanted to announce that I’ve hired my beautiful niece Amanda as my part-time assistant. I’m going to be training her on ordering, packaging orders, as well as tagging along with me to sessions to help with posing and reflectors. So, you might see her at one of your sessions. By training her on orders, this means that instead of placing orders as I receive them, I’m going to be placing them once or twice a week with a set day for them to be back to the studio. With many sessions a week, my time is filled with sitting at the computer each day placing orders and packaging them. I feel that by combining multiple orders that are received weekly, I can better streamline my schedule and personal time.

Lorraine | Business Head Shot

Lorraine is going to be publishing two books in the near future and needed a head shot for the back cover. I was honored when she asked if I would take her picture.

Be sure to keep an eye out for her upcoming books: The titles are- “Trials: Thanks a Lot!” and “Trials: Now What?” They are published by Tate Publishing (http://www.facebook.com/l/1a14c;www.tatepublishing.com) and will be released this summer (don’t have a date yet).

Miss K | Senior

Phew. I’m back. We recently went skiing with my husband’s two sisters and their husbands. That was quite an adventure! I quickly learned that if you’ve never been before, DO NOT let your friends talk you into trying it just to see if you NEED lessons. Get the lessons. Trust me! It’ll save you from being so terrified on the side of the mountain that you take off your skis and walk down. Yeah – that was me. I’m sure I was the one everyone was pointing at down on the bottom of the slopes. But – our trip didn’t come without at least ONE ride to the emergency room. My brother-in-law crashed and separated his shoulder. I haven’t heard if he’ll need surgery or not. It was a huge eye opener as to how fast you can get hurt up there on the mountain when you’re in the ER next to a woman that’s broken her leg, screaming bloody murder at the doctor that’s trying to remove her clothes. Eeshh… that still makes my blood run cold!

Anyway – back to the pictures and why you’re here!

Meet Miss K! The weather was still not cooperative for outdoor portraits so we just had studio shots. I thought they were beautiful!
