FAQs

Weddings

It is always best to get your date on my calendar as soon as possible.  This guarantees that I’ve blocked your specific day and will not be taking on any other weddings around your date.  It’s best to meet in person to go over all of the fine details and to go through items I have available with my wedding packages.

Top FAQs Answered!

Do you have a 2nd photographer with you?  Yes, see my About Us page to meet my assistant!  She’s fabulous!

How long will it take for you to edit my wedding images?  In my contract, I allow up to 6 weeks for editing.  However, I usually do not take this long to edit and can work with you if you are needing a few images soon after the wedding.

What do I need to do to reserve my wedding date?  I require a signed contract and 25% of the wedding package you choose.  Final balance is due a week prior to your wedding date.

Are you looking for a wedding venue?  Be sure to check out Moore Farms Rustic Weddings!  It’s a great venue area with new facilities being added to accommodate their expanding operation.  Plus, if you book us together – I offer an exclusive gift not available to any other clients!

Portrait Sessions

I will give you and your children time to acclimate to their surroundings. Doing this will guarantee natural smiles for their portraits. Clothing and/or background changes can be made during this time.

Clothing

Clothing recommendations have changed greatly since I started photography.  I used to tell you to keep everything simple and limit bright colors and patterns.  However…. I do not necessarily recommend this any longer.  Sessions should be fun and reflect your personalities.  I typically recommend that you SHOULD have a pop of color here and there to accent your portraits as long as the color is cohesive and doesn’t clash with the rest of your party.  Otherwise – have fun!  Pinterest.com is a great place to find portrait clothing ideas.  I have many saved to my Photography board.

Scheduling

Sessions are available by appointment Monday – Sunday from 9:00am to 7:00pm. Keep your baby’s schedule in mind when booking an appointment. Make sure he/she is fed and rested.

Color Treatments

Proofs will be shown with a variety of color treatments. Please keep in mind that images are available in all treatments. Treatments include: black and white, sepia, mocha, selective coloring, and a few other “exclusive” choices. Basic retouching will be done prior to proof viewing. If there is anything in particular you would like corrected, please bring it to my attention during the photo session. Borders and text can be added to any image at no extra charge.  All balances due will be collected when your portraits arrive.

Proofs

I always recommend making the follow-up sales appointment for proof viewing, approximately 10 days after your session. By doing this, you see your proofs at their best and as they were intended to be viewed. I calibrate my monitor and projector to match your prints as closely as possible.  This eliminates the possibility of differences in color, contrast, and other discrepancies that can arise from viewing proofs online. If requested, your proofs can be available for viewing online via the “Clients” tab after the follow-up sales appointment.  I will email you with instructions for logging on.

Portraits

Your portraits will be ready for pickup approximately one to two weeks after they are ordered. All wall portraits and composites will be mounted and treated to protect from fingerprints and fading. Your images will remain on file for any re-orders.
